The Georgia Institute of Technology’s Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts provides innovative, human-centered perspectives at the intersection of humanities, social sciences, arts, and STEM. Over the course of two years, I was tasked with designing several of their websites including: (1) The School of Literature, Media, and Communication, (2) The Graduate Program of Global Media and Cultures, (3) The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, and (4) The CoLab: Creative/Career Origination Lab. The following were the websites’ goals:
Use Drupal, a Content Management System, to structure the digital experience
Consider purpose and intent of content to meet university and college branding efforts
Focus on visual hierarchy with considerations of priority, spacing, and visual additions while incorporating university branding
Streamline content and improve information architecture
Ensure that all content types are usable to all website visitors by applying accessibility standards
These websites are found under the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The foundation and structure of the website was designed by me, where future moderators and administrators will take control over the website and apply further changes.
